Code 95 is required for truck drivers who wish to work professionally in Europe. This document is also required for drivers coming from Ukraine and other non EU countries.

Costs
Professional driving skills are becoming increasingly important in a world which places a lot of importance on transportation for both economic activities and for the transportation of people and goods. However, gaining this skill is not affordable. It is necessary to be aware of a range of costs, such as the cost for training and the exam. In the Netherlands getting Code 95 may cost as much as 3000 euros. Fortunately, the expenses associated with the process of getting this certificate are lower in Poland and can be as low as 1500 to 2000 PLN.
For truck drivers who are licensed to drive trucks, the Code 95 certificate is necessary to operate trucks that weigh more than 7.5 tons in Europe. The certificate is valid for five years and must be added to the driver's license category C or C+E. It is also possible to add it to the C1 or C1E license which permits the driver to drive trailers with lighter weights.
To get a Code 95 certificate, you must undergo a medical exam and take the psychotest. After the course is completed, you will receive an official plastic Code 95 certificate that can be inserted into your driving license. The course fee includes a medical exam, PKZ service and payment for the plastic Code 95 Certificate.
The cost of the Code 95 Certificate is the same as other types of driving courses. It is also important to remember that this course has to be conducted at a driving school that is certified by the CBR. The CBR has strict protocols that instructors must follow. Trainers must notify the CBR if, for example students are absent.

After the course, the student must visit the Road Traffic Safety Directorate to apply for a new licence. The deadline for replacing the licence is six months from the date of completion of the course. This is to make sure that a driver has the required level of knowledge and competency for driving a heavy-duty vehicle. In addition the driver must be able to read kilometer and speed limit signs that are posted on the road.
Training options
Code 95 on a driver's license indicates that you have completed the mandatory instruction to drive buses or trucks professionally. This is a requirement that you must fulfill every five years to renew your permit. The 35-hour periodical training can be completed at a driving academy or at home through the internet-based learning. It is possible to spread the course over a five-year time frame. The courses are often paid for by your employer.
There are two types of training available for Code 95: the long course and the short. The long course lasts about four weeks in length and concludes with a federal exam. After passing the exam, you will be issued an ID card in plastic. The card must be entered to the database of unified European certificates. The institution you attended will then send it to the database. The card will be processed within 14 days.
The cost of the long course is approximately 2500 PLN, while the examination costs 300 PLN. You'll have to pay an additional cost to the school to allow them to enter your certificate to the unification of the European database. Once the card has been created you can pick it up from the school.
To be able to offer a course of training that issue Code 95, you must follow certain protocols as a trainer. You must first submit a training plan to the CBR. This plan of training must be approved prior the start of classes. You must also adhere to other strict rules during the course.
You will receive a certificate from the CBR when you have successfully completed the course. Then, you can forward this to the RDW. The RDW will then allow you to renew your license with the municipality after submitting successfully. If you don't renew your license by the expiration date, you are not allowed to drive buses or trucks professionally for more than 12 hours a week. If you want to drive more than 12 hours a week, you will need to enroll in a new course.
Exams
To obtain the code 95 designation on your licence you must pass both theoretical and practical exams. These exams can either be taken on their own, or as part of the acquisition of a basic category licence at a driving school. After passing the tests, you will receive a certificate as well as a code 95 card. The card is valid for 5 years and has to be renewed before the expiration date.
You can select a short or a long course for the code 95 exam depending on the training program. The long course lasts for about four weeks and ends with a governmental test. In this exam you will be asked to answer 30 questions on the topics covered in your classes.
After passing the code 95 exam, you must follow 35 hours of periodic training (nascholing) every five years. This can be done in the country you reside in or work. The instructor will conduct the regularly scheduled training. The CBR offers an online tool for finding an instructor. You will receive a confirmation from both your teacher and CBR after you have completed the course. The CBR will inform the RDW of your completion.

To operate a truck you must possess a driver's licence C. This is the largest driver's license in Europe. You must also have an examination for medical conditions.
You also need a driving licence C or D for buses as well as passenger cars. The requirements for bus drivers are different from those for truck drivers and passenger cars, since they must pass a written exam and an oral exam. They also require an official code85, which is a professional certificate.
Requirements
The purchase of a driving license with code 95 is a must for truck drivers who want to work in the Netherlands. This mark on the driver's license indicates that they meet the (training) requirements for professional truck drivers (Certificate of Professional Competence, Verklaring van Vakbekwaamheid). Truck drivers are not permitted to be professional drivers for more than 12 hours a week without it.

The code 95 course consists of theoretical and practical training. The theory-based training consists of classroom instruction and online learning. The online learning is done through a dedicated website. This means that you can participate in classes at any time and from any location. The theoretical portion comprises 35 academic classes. In addition, you'll be able take various online testing tasks and tests.

The new style of licences for buses and trucks was introduced in the year 2011. It is a laminated driving licence card that looks similar to the European driving licence card. Older credit-card and booklet-style licences are no longer issued.
